Job Summary

Ashford Glass & Mirror is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Driver to join our team in Houston, TX. The Driver is responsible for safely transporting glass, mirrors, storefront materials, construction supplies, and other products to jobsites, customers, and company locations throughout the Greater Houston area.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent driving record, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials are delivered accurately, safely, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks and delivery vehicles.
• Deliver glass, mirrors, storefront systems, aluminum, and construction materials to commercial jobsites.
• Load, unload, secure, and transport materials safely to prevent damage.
• Verify delivery orders and ensure accurate delivery of materials.
• Assist warehouse personnel with receiving, inventory, and material staging as needed.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Obtain delivery signatures and complete required documentation.
• Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding deliveries.
• Assist with local pickups from vendors and suppliers.
• Support warehouse and yard operations during non-delivery times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver's License required.
• Clean driving record.
• Previous delivery driver, warehouse, construction, or logistics experience preferred.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Forklift experience or certification preferred (training available).
• Ability to work independently and maintain a reliable schedule.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
